About this piece:
A piece of artwork about our ever evolving life and relationships.
About these artists:
Briar de Wolfe: I am an artist that studied jewelry design and metalsmithing in Toronto, at OCAD. I didn’t feel confident or prepared after my 5 years at OCAD and I felt even more lost, as I was never satisfied with my work. After taking a number of years off to explore the different areas for my career, I took a completely different route. On a surface level of what I do is I mainly sculpt in a painting style however, the backbone of what I apply into my sculptural paintings are jewelry techniques. After my time spent to understand what inspired me to create art, there were too many elements that I loved from a variety of art forms in different eras that I couldn’t commit to one style and found my own voice, inclusive of all, instead.
Angela An: I am a character designer/background artist for animation in Vancouver. I graduated from Sheridan for classical animation, but I find great joy in exploring different forms of art. I mostly paint in gouache and pencil crayons but lately, I've been dabbling in sculpey and incorporating that in my art, which has been really exciting.
