About the artwork:
In the myth of Mebuyan, the Bagobo goddess of the underworld, rice is her sacred gift, and dropping her gift may bring death to the household. She is also known to nurse the children of the underworld and feeds them until they are strong enough to travel the tiresome path to Gimokudan, the residence of souls.
