An illustration about beautiful disruptions to a modular, stagnant status quo
Watercolor on Arches watercolor cold press
Framed Giclee Print
11.5" x 15.5"
About this piece:
Growing up, I believed I should always blend in the crowd, following proven pathways to other people's definition of success. Following the status quo has always been the norm. It was like a calm body of water that is never to be disrupted, never to be questioned. However, things changed as I grew tired of surviving in a modular structured society. I wanted to question, challenge and change things for the better. To a lot of people around me, I was causing disruptions.
Disruptions and changes aren't always comfortable. Some disruptions can bring about beautiful changes, surprisingly magical elements to a stagnant pool. Moving forward as a human centered designer, I hope to continue bringing changes to build better lives, as I swim across oceans and seas for as long as I live.
